Kumla IBK was one of 26 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Föreningspizzan Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Pojkar Röd D (2009).

In addition to Kumla IBK, 7 other teams played in Pojkar Röd D (2009). They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Kumla IBK could be found in Group B together with Vallentuna IBK VIBk P09 1, Linköping IBK Ungdom P09:90 and Linköping IBK Ungdom P09/10 Hagby Södra.

Kumla IBK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group B. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Linköping IBK Ungdom 08:88 with 1-3. In the Final, Linköping IBK Ungdom 08:88 won over Vallentuna IBK VIBk P09 1 and became the winner of Slutspel A in Pojkar Röd D (2009).

Kumla IBK comes from Örebro which lies approximately 220 km from , where Föreningspizzan Cup takes place. The area around Örebro does also provide two additional clubs participating during Föreningspizzan Cup 2022 (Ekeby IF and ÖSK ungdom).
